Perennial Plant of the Year
Each year the Perennial Plant Association sends each member a ballet to select a Perennial Plant of the Year. Here are the Plants from 2000 to 2009:

2009 - Hakonechloa macra "Aureola" - Not hardy in Zone 2 Southern Alberta area.
2008 - Geranium x "Rozanne"
2007 - Nepeta x faassenii Walker’s Low
2006 - Dianthus gratianopolitanus "Feuerhexe" (Firewitch)
2005 - Lenten Rose - Helleborus xhybridus - Not hardy in Zone 2 Southern Alberta area.
2004 - Japanese Painted Fern - Athyrium niponicum "Pictum"
2003 - Leucanthemum "Becky"
2002 - Phlox Paniculata “David”
2001 - “Karl Foerster Feather Reed Grass” - Calamagrostis x acutiflora
2000 - Scabiosa Columbaria “Butterfly Blue” - Pincushion Flower
