Cultivation of Art

It all started innocently enough, just a little art show for something different. That was in 2009; Katrina was worried nobody would show up. But the weather was beautiful and with no budget for anything we relied on word of mouth. And surprise it was bigger than we had planned, and we only had 20 artists. What would it be like with 40 artists? Thus in 2010 with professional invitation printed and advertising taken out, (Katrina still afraid that nobody would show up) it was huge. And so now we head in to 2012.
Vale’s Greenhouse has teamed up once again with over 40 local Alberta Artists. With three very sucessful shows and sales since 2009, the 2012 show is setting up to be even better. Every artist is looking for a place to display his or her work. We have chosen Artists that reflect the sprit of the Foothills. Southern Alberta area is teaming with people of as many talents as tastes. The 2012 show is going to show a larger range of art, from wearable fabrics, Oil and water colour paintings to woodcarving, pottery and silver jewellery and blown glass, this show will satisfy any tastes. Customers have an opportunity to wander through our beautiful garden centre and admire wonderful works of art.
Vale’s Greenhouse is please to be involved in such an undertaking and hope that you will enjoy all the art that will be displayed through-out the greenhouse area. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the garden and make the day of it. An artist reception will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday 23th 2011. Come meet the artist, have a snack and a glass of wine and admire the beauty of nature and art combined into one. Visa, MasterCard and debit are accepted
